New England Cold Storage Hires Industry Veteran
to Lead Opening New Facility

Mark Wetmore brings 30 years of distribution logistics experience

Sturbridge, Mass., December 2, 2021 – New England Cold Storage, LLC (NECS) is pleased to announce that Mark Wetmore joins as Vice President, Operations. Mark’s responsibilities will encompass overseeing the opening and operation of the flagship Sturbridge facility, as well as contributing to the company’s overall sales and growth strategy.

Mark brings over 30 years of cold storage warehouse experience to NECS, the last 15 of those years with Smithfield Foods where he has been leading their Circle of Excellence team, responsible for improving the performance of multiple distribution facilities. Prior to Smithfield, Mark was promoted through the Americold Logistics ranks for 10 years. He started his career as an Operations Manager for Interstate Warehousing.
